Alpine Valley Skiing
Alpine Valley Wisconsin is a ski resort located around 40 minutes by car Southwest of Milwaukee. Alpine Valley Resort is an all-season resort offering a variety of activities during the summer, however it is primarily a winter resort, for skiing and snowboarding during the long winter months when the mountains are covered in highly coveted snow.

Bear chases man skiing
A skier was aggressively chased down a mountain by a brown bear on the weekend of 23rd January, in a ski resort called Predeal in Romania. The episode was captured on multiple different videos by fellow skiers watching helplessly.

Best Places To Go Skiing
The best place to ski depends on a number of important factors to consider, depending on what you are after. The most important things to consider when choosing a ski resort include snow quality, snow depth, family-friendly resorts, après-ski and ski in ski out. Each resort will have advantages and disadvantages, and its up to you to decide what to prioritise, and balance that with cost.

Bogus Basin
Bogus Basin is a ski resort located in southwest Idaho, found in the Boise Ridge mountains. Bogus Basin offers alpine skiing with 20 miles of skiable, groomed runs as well as 23 miles of cross-country skiing trails or Nordic skiing. Bogus Basin is family friendly and great for beginners, though it also offers more challenging skiing too.

Heli Skiing Colorado
There are two companies that offer heli-skiing in Colorado - Telluride Heli-Trax & Silverton Mountain Heli. Prices per person for a full day of heli-skiing start at $1395 with Telluride Heli-Trax, and $1190 for a 6 run trip with Silverton Mountain Heli.

Indoor skiing Manchester
Chill Factore is located in Manchester, and is the largest indoor ski slope in England, and the UK. The main ski slope in Chill Factore is 180m long. A 1 hour ski pass can be purchased for £28. Longer sessions can be purchased for a small amount of extra money, costing up to £43 for a 4 hour pass.

Indoor Skiing New Jersey - Big Snow, American Dream
Indoor skiing in New Jersey can be done in the newly built Big Snow American Dream. American Dream Skiing is the largest indoor ski resort in North America, located in the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. There are 3 slopes all covered with 2-foot of snow. The three slopes differ in difficulty and reach up to 1000 feet long.

Skiing in Red River, New Mexico costs $90 per day for an adult & $84 for a teenager. This is a relatively small resort compared to resorts in the likes of Vail or Keystone resorts. Red River offers 20km of pisted runs, with a max altitude of 3135m.

Although it cannot offer the same quality of skiing or same amount of snow as the Alps in Western Europe, it is a picturesque country and the prices for skiing here reflect this. There are a total of 8 world-class ski resorts within 2 hours driving distance of Boulder. Boulder contains an airport called Boulder Municipal Airport-BDU which is easily accessible from across America.

The skiing in Austria is excellent and is much more affordable than if you were to search for an equivalent resort in France or Switzerland. The ski resorts are scenic, based out of old Austrian villages, and you get a real sense of the culture in the ski resorts.

Canada offers the best quality snow for skiing in the world. Canada offers many different resorts to ski at with a huge variety between each of them. Although Canada doesn’t receive as much snow as Japan, the snow quality is superior. The infrastructure is not as extensive as that of Europe, and therefore the resorts are not as large.

Ski resorts in France offer some of the best skiing there is in the world in terms of terrain, resort size, tourism and snow reliability. Although you may certainly find countries around the world such as Canada or Japan that offer more snow and better powder, they also have their drawbacks compared to France and other European countries.

Skiing in New Zealand
Although skiing in New Zealand does not compare to that of Europe, Canada or Japan due to smaller mountains and less snow, Queenstown offers an attraction of its own with countless bars and activities once the slopes close, as well as the most beautiful and scenic town I have ever set foot in. The most popular place to ski in New Zealand is Queenstown. From Queenstown there is easy access to both The Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski resort.

Snow Summit Ski Resort is a sister resort of Bear Mountain Resort located in South California. Snow Summit offers night skiing between 3pm – 8:30pm on a selection of dates throughout the winter season. Night session tickets cost $87 – $103 per day depending on the date you choose.

Whitefish Mountain Resort, Montana offers a huge variety of terrain and skiing, and is not widely known as the fabulous resort it is, meaning it is much quieter than might be expected for a resort of this size and calibre.
